What can cause tyre damage?

Categories :

Tyre damage can happen at any time and can make your vehicle very unsafe, which is why it is vital to check them over carefully as often as you can. You may have noticed that your tyres have not been gripping the road as well or that you have had the tyres on the car for some time now and they appear to have worn down or even perished. If this is the case then you need to get them changed as soon as possible. Prices vary drastically for the cost of a tyre depending upon if you want new or part worn and what size you need. Also, the make of the tyre can have a huge impact on the price.

Unfortunately, some tyre damage is more out of the blue and may happen at any time. You may simply drive over something in the road or clip a curb and rip your tyre making it unrepairable. If the hole is not too bad and is located within a certain area then you may be able to get away with a puncture repair rather than a new tyre. The frustrating thing is that you might have just had a new tyre fitted and then damage it means it needs to be replaced immediately although the tread has hardly been worn.
