Should you use non genuine parts for your motor repairs?
The cost of running and maintaining a vehicle is high and many people worry about the spiralling costs they may have to pay if the car needs to go in for repair work.
When it comes to car repairs, no one wants to have to pay more than they have to, but we all want a good job doing. Sometimes it is not worth skimping on quality to get a cheaper repair done as you may find that it doesn’t last as long and needs replacing again not long after. Many car part manufacturing companies now offer non genuine car parts. This can be anything from radiators through to exhaust systems and the money you can often save a huge chunk by opting for non-genuine parts over genuine ones.
If your car is still under manufacturer’s warranty you will usually have to have genuine parts fitted so as not to invalidate the warranty. You may not have to take it to a main dealer to get these parts fitted though, so may be able to cut down on labour costs.
