Look after your leather
Leather seats are always a desirable option in a car. They’re a little slice of luxury that makes being in your vehicle a more pleasant experience. Keeping your leather seats in top condition is important. Because leather is an animal product, its natural oils and moisture can dry out over time causing an inconsistent finish and increased risk of cracking and damage.
Caring for your leather interior is straight forward. Gently clean the seams and crevices with a soft brush and vacuum. Be careful not to scratch the surface of the leather. Apply leather cleaner with a soft cloth, working into a lather. Use a clean, damp cloth to remove the dirt and cleaner residue. Now dry with a cloth (microfibre is ideal for this) paying special attention to the seams and crevices.
After cleaning, you should treat the surface with a leather balm to seal the surface. Allow to dry then buff to a shine. You can treat any leather panels on the dashboard in the same way. Caring for your leather will keep it looking good for years to come and will make the vehicle more attractive for potential buyers, should you want to re-sell.
