Comparing tyres
When it comes to replacing tyres on your vehicle you are often inundated with choice. There are three ranges of tyres, budget, mid-range and premium and they go up in price accordingly.
There are so many different manufactures of tyres that it can be hard to know what range the tyres you are considering fall in to. All tyre fitting garages will be able to tell you what makes are classed as their budget range etc. but this may vary slightly from garage to garage.
Ideally you want to do a bit of your own research online prior to ordering tyres to ensure you get the best deal.
All tyres are given three ratings, one for wet grip, one for fuel economy and one for road noise. As a rule you would expect the tyres that perform worse in these three areas to be within the budget range. When I was recently looking to purchase tyres I found a make of budget tyre that actually perform better on all three platforms than many in their mid range bracket. Shopping around can not only save you money but ensure that you get a better quality of tyre.
