Automatic or Manual Transmission Cars

Most people have a particular preference when it comes to the transmission of their vehicle. If you have a full license to drive a manual car then you can drive an automatic vehicle under that license, if you only have a license to drive an automatic then you are not able to drive a manual vehicle without taking an additional test in a manual car.

Driving an automatic, use to be seen as something the older generation did, but with many sports car now auto’s the younger generation are able to get behind the driving seat of these fantastic cars. After many years of driving both manual and auto’s, much to my own shock, I definitely prefer the autos.

The time when an auto really comes in to its own is when you are stuck in traffic. No longer do you have to keep switching between clutch, accelerator and brake, you simply leave the car in drive and just use the brake pedal to start and stop.
