Renting a garage away from your home
If you live in a property that does not have a garage or driveway, but you own a car you may look at renting a garage away from your home. This is quite a common occurrence in some towns and cities and so there is sometimes a shortage of garages available and those that are can be expensive to rent.
It is worth advertising the fact that you want to rent a garage space in the local press or in local shops as you will ideally want a garage that is near where you live so that you will be able to walk to your home after garaging your car. Asking neighbours whether they use their garages and whether they would consider renting the space to you is another possible avenue to explore.
The security of the garage and therefore your vehicle is an issue that may concern some car owners, so it is important that the locks on the garage door are of good quality. Some garage complexes have security systems that are monitored by a security firm and although these may cost more they will give you the reassurance that you need that your vehicle will be secure and protected from theft and vandalism.
